CSIR – NIIST, located in Thiruvananthapuram, is a distinguished institute operating under the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR). Dedicated to research and development in fundamental and applied sciences to benefit India’s citizens economically, environmentally, and socially. The institute focuses on seven primary areas of research and development: (i) Agro Processing and Natural Products, (ii) Biotechnology, (iii) Chemical Science and Technology, (iv) Materials and Minerals, (v) Process Engineering and Environmental Technology, (vi) Sustainable Energy Technologies, and (vii) Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.
