Educational Qualification (Post-wise)

Candidates must meet either of the following qualifications:
- 10th Pass + 3 years Diploma in Mechanical / Automobile / Fire Engineering OR
- 12th Pass (Regular Study)
Driving License Requirement
Candidates must have any one of the following valid driving licenses:
- Heavy Vehicle Driving License OR
- Medium Vehicle Driving License (issued at least 1 year before 01/11/2024) OR
- Light Motor Vehicle License (issued at least 2 years before 01/11/2024)
Note: Candidates with Medium/Light Vehicle licenses must acquire a Heavy Vehicle Driving License within one year of appointment.
Selection Procedure
The selection process consists of the following stages:
1. Computer-Based Test (CBT)
- Duration: 2 Hours
- Minimum Qualifying Marks:
- UR/EWS/OBC: 50/100
- SC/ST: 40/100
- Syllabus:
- Part A: 50% questions based on relevant educational qualification
- Part B: 50% questions on General Knowledge, General Intelligence, General Aptitude, and English
2. Physical Measurement Test (PMT)
- Height: Male – 167 cm | Female – 157 cm
- Chest (Male Only): 81 cm (normal) with 5 cm expansion
- Weight: Male – 55 kg | Female – 45 kg
3. Physical Endurance Test (PET)
- 100m Running
- Casualty Carrying Test (Lifting and carrying sandbag – 50m for males, 30m for females)
- Pole Climbing
- Rope Climbing
- Ladder Climbing
Note: Ex-Agniveers are exempted from PET but must meet other criteria.
4. Document Verification & Medical Examination
Only candidates clearing the above tests will be called for final document verification and medical fitness examination.
5. Basic Training Course (BTC)
Candidates finally selected will undergo 18 weeks of training. A stipend of ₹25,000 per month will be provided during training. Candidates must execute a bond with AAI before training.
